It’s the final countdown ’til Christmas! I’ve been busy getting our home ready for the big night (and day) and I’m so excited to share the results with you guys. When we first moved in together, I was obsessed with Scandinavian design. I still am, but I’ve sort of accepted and embraced that I live in a tropical country and I’ve began to incorporate more color and touches of tropicalia to our home—including our Holiday Season decor! For this year, I skipped our usual nordic pine cone ornaments and I decided to buy some metallic globes and a set of straw ornaments I found at Zara Home. Yes, the straw ones are Scandinavian inspired, but in my defense, anything in straw, jute or raffia could also be tropical. As for the garland and flowers, I had Silvātica Flores make us these obscenely beautiful tropical creations with metallic painted palm and monstera leafs, anthurium and ginger flowers mixed in with pine, roses, carnations and proteas. I am so happy with the results; I hope you like them too. If you live in a warmer climate, maybe you can find this post inspiring for your upcoming Holiday parties or for next year!
Oh and today is also National Ugly Sweater Day, so I’ve rounded up some of my favorite styles below, including the Coach Rexy sweater I’m wearing in this post. Make sure to check out the sweaters at H&M, I couldn’t add the images to the widget but they have some of the best styles of the season; never mind that they’re also pretty affordable.
Last, but not least, I created a set of arsty + minimal Holiday posters for our living room and I’m including the link for you to shop them here for HERE.
