Let’s travel back to Paris today, shall we? Even if virtually for this post; the second part of my Paris Guide. I, of course, had to see for myself what all the fuss was about with Café de Flore—great people watching and ambience!—and since I made the trip all the way across the Seine to Rive Gauche (the Rive Gauche? What would be the correct way to say it?), I also visited Le Bon Marché and walked along the Boulevard Saint Germain—honestly one of the prettiest streets I’ve ever taken a stroll on; I think I’ll make it a Paris tradition to walk along it every time I go back. Another infamous restaurant I visited was Loulou, at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. I absolutely loved the decor; I’m a sucker for velvet, marble and cane. But if the weather is nice, you should sit outside and take in the views of the Louvre. Since we’re back Rive Droite, I have to mention The Broken Arm, a great Café + Concept Store in the 3rd arrondissement, not too far from Le Marais, stocking the likes of Calvin Klein, Balenciaga, Prada, Comme des Garçons, etc., and a lot of cool magazines and great books. And last, but not least, you should know that Ladurée is not the only place for macarons and cake in Paris. Angelina is a classic Parisian Salon de Thé and Pâtisserie, an institution on Rue de Rivoli quite worth the visit.
